FAQ's
What ages and grade levels do you work with?
I work with students of all ages—from elementary and middle school students preparing for the ISEE, SSAT, or Hunter exam to high schoolers focused on the SAT, ACT, or college applications. I also work with college students on writing support and executive functioning skills.
What kinds of results have your students seen?
My students have raised their test scores significantly, improved their grades, and gained admission to top schools and universities, including Harvard, MIT, Columbia, Georgetown, and Hunter College High School, among many others.

When should we start test prep?
For most students, starting test prep 4–6 months before the test date works well. This gives us time to build skills gradually and reduce stress. That said, I’ve worked successfully with students on both longer-term and shorter-term timelines. We’ll create a plan that fits your child’s needs and schedule.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Most students meet with me once per week for 1 or 1.5 hours, but I customize the schedule based on each student’s goals and availability. We can meet more or less frequently, and sessions can be longer if needed.

What is your rate?
My base rate is $230 per hour. Group rates are also available; feel free to contact me to learn more.

Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes! I'm happy to speak with parents or students before starting to make sure we're a good fit. Just reach out through the contact page, and we’ll set up a time to talk.

Can you help with school subjects or just test prep?
In addition to test prep, I support students with academic coursework, writing assignments, and executive functioning skills like time management, organization, and study habits.
How does college essay coaching work?
College essay coaching includes a mix of live one-on-one sessions and asynchronous support. I meet with students periodically to brainstorm, workshop drafts, and discuss revisions. In between sessions, I read drafts and leave detailed comments that students can use to keep improving on their own time. Because so much of this work happens outside of our meetings, I bill for time spent reading and commenting at the same hourly rate as live sessions. Many students find this asynchronous approach makes the process more efficient and often helps reduce the total number of meetings needed

How do we get started?
Just fill out the contact form. I’ll follow up to learn more about your goals, answer any questions, and schedule a time to meet. There’s no obligation; it’s just a chance to see if we’re a good fit.
