Working with me
Services
At Mitchel Kawash Tutoring, I offer one-on-one support tailored to each student’s needs and goals. Whether you're preparing for a major test, tackling a college application, or working to build stronger academic habits, I bring structure, clarity, and genuine encouragement to every session.

Test Prep
I specialize in helping students prepare for the SAT and ACT, and I have worked with high school students at every score level—from those aiming for top scores to those just trying to improve and feel more confident.

My younger students have attended their top-choice private and independent schools after preparing with me for the ISEE or SSAT (all levels), and I have even had students admitted to Hunter College High School through the extremely competitive entrance exam.

No matter the test, I bring a calm, structured, and personalized approach designed to help students feel prepared, confident, and capable on test day.

Support for other standardized tests is available by request.

College Essay Coaching
College essays can feel overwhelming, but they don’t have to. I work closely with students on their personal statements and supplemental essays, helping them find a voice that’s authentic, reflective, and compelling to admissions readers. Whether your student already has a draft or is starting from scratch, I guide the process with structure and encouragement. Through our work, they'll clarify their message, sharpen their narrative, and produce "the essay only they can write."

Academic Support
Sometimes a student’s biggest challenge isn’t the material itself: it’s how to manage it all. I work with students who need help staying organized, managing deadlines, planning ahead, or making sense of confusing assignments. My academic coaching is supportive, practical, and always student-centered.
I help students build better study habits, improve time management, and regain confidence when school starts to feel overwhelming. Whether we’re reviewing English essays, prepping for History tests, or just working through a pile of late assignments, I bring structure and a calm, encouraging presence to each session.
How It Works
Most students meet with me once a week for a 1 or 1.5-hour session, but I tailor the schedule to fit each family’s needs. Some students prefer more frequent meetings, longer sessions, or focused intensives leading up to test dates or application deadlines.

Sessions take place via Zoom, allowing me to work with students all over the world.
